Christiane Menelas

Houston based photographer, Christiane Menelas, moved to the US in 1986 from Germany. She loves Texas as her second home, and recently purchased a beautiful piece of property in Wimberley, the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Her favorite subjects are wildlife and landscapes. She is particularly fond of the nations national parks, and the endless inspiration they provide a photographer.

Having worked most of her career as a registered nurse, she has now shifted her focus and passion to capturing beauty in nature. As a self taught photographer she continues her learning through online tutorials, webinars, and by participating in workshops and photo excursions. She has sold some of her pieces to local art galleries in the Houston area, as well as donating several pieces to community fundraisers.
